Home... Radon... First Time Homebuyer... Living@Home Assessments... Meth Detection... Mold... Home Crime History... Move-In-Ready Assessment... Gourmet Kitchen Assessment. JACKPOT!!!!
Get to know InspectingPro, RadonDog, and Living@Home Services. I work with first-time homebuyers, and measure Radon levels with activated charcoal or continuous monitors. I also perform Living@Home assessments for older people who would like to live in their homes as long as possible. I'm a great guy. I have excellent personal rapport with your clients. It's the kind of impression that reflects positively on you. I am a lifetime teacher, mentor, educator, and researcher. I KNOW how to connect with anyone through personability, and technical acumen.
Get the inspection scheduled, get it done right, and on-time. Delegate some client education. It saves you time and delegates prospective property education to an education professional. This maximizes client engagement in the sale, and provides motivation for the buyer to follow through because they'll have fewer cognitive dissonance patterns involved with their very large investment.
............................................................Which frees you to sell more homes...........................................................
Realtors, at the end of my work your client will have a long and objective report, an Owner's Manual for the house, and a discussion that explains what we found, together.

I understand you want a home and Radon inspector who is honest, skillful, a good communicator, ethical, LICENSED, and Professionally Certified. You probably also want someone who can fit your client's and your professional needs, who creates a very positive impression, is technically competent, has wide geographical coverage....

who won't delay your closing....

Your client will get a report within 24 hours. They will have a much better knowledge of the home, perhaps better bargaining leverage, and absolutely better confidence that leads them to the closing table.
I aim to increase your client's commitment and create transparency in the process. Do all systems work as they should? What are the near term maintenance priorities and necessary repairs? Are there legitimate deficiencies that need to be fixed?
For peace of mind, call or contact Inspecting Pro!
Here are two more services I can offer: If you would like me to research a home's history, I can do that. If you need an accurate drone-based floor plan or video for your client or listing, I can do that, too.
If you want drone footage of the exterior house and yard (and the neighborhood), I willl be able to do that later in the Summer, 2025 pending my FAA Remote Piloting Licensure (yes, commercial purpose drone pilots are required to have pilot licenses - It's a Federal Rule).
Get great communication from a PhD level professional educator with 25 years experience. Get appointment flexibility. Have someone there when you need them. Easy contact with website and phone scheduling. Get the level of integrity you need to maximize your reputation. Let's have a conversation so we can work together.

Gain a happy client. Know they'll have a very positive experience with home and Radon inspection. Know this part of their acquisition process will go smoothly, and your closing will go as planned, on time, every time. -Dr. Douglas Peterson (MBA, PhD).

Give me a call! I'll bring you chocolate....

I started this business after a 25 year career as a college professor (Texas Tech, South Florida, Nebraska, Kansas, also Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia). My expertise area is industrial design/engineering and the management of organizations. I started as a school teacher and worked up to the doctorate and the collegiate-research professor career. This is a change for me, a movement to make my hobby of home maintenance and repair into something fun I can do for the next 10 years or more. People like me, they find I'm an excellent educator, they also find I instill trust and friendliness from the very first minute we meet. You client will come back with an excellent inspection product, one which they, and you, can use. Your client also gets a detailed report and a manual of what to do with the report, and a follow up message from you if you like.

Here is another service I can offer: If you would like me to research a home's history for crime or METH/MDMA manufacturing, I can do that. I can also do an identification review of sex offenders in the neighborhood.
The process is simple: first, a desk review of ownership and home public records; second, a viewing of photos or video your Realtor takes in a listing interview; and third... if there's a reasonable suspicion, we can do wipe tests in areas not likely to have been cleaned. These are countertops, pull handles, the area behind the faucets, miniblinds, garage doorknobs, and workbenches. There are common items that may be in abundance: ephidrine, HEAT fuel treatment, ammonia, urea, red phosphorus, for example. If you smell what seems to be severely rotting fish, that's a pretty good indication of a P2P process. Remember, METH manufacturing, use, possessions, and sales cross socio-economic lines. The State of Illinois has no certification standards or requirements for this type of thing. They do need employees to be trained on OSHA Safe Workplace Standards.

If there does seem to be evidence, I will have to inform law enforcement.

Were I media-trained (I was), I would spin this as "Socially Conscious and Concerned Neighbor Acts to Secure the Future of our Neighborhoods, and Preserve Property Values." Get it? Got it? Good!

I am preparing to deploy drones to capture images of a home and grounds, I will be able to do that later in the Summer, 2025 or Spring, 2026, pending my FAA Remote Piloting Licensure.

REALTORS! Let's work together.
